Grand Opening Ceremony Announced for the Master’s Table Soul Café

District Heights, Maryland, population 4,313 is located about 6.5 miles from Washington and 9.0 miles from Alexandria. Amid the many arts and cultural sites in District Heights, Maryland, residents can experience a Maryland town that’s vibrant and revitalized.  Prince George’s County continues to improve its’ roads, bridges and livable communities.
The Master’s Table Soul Café and Carryout will feature a mouth-watering menu of traditional southern soul food alongside a healthier, delectable fare of savory choices served in a smoke-free, alcohol-free environment where customers can gather to feed their hearty appetites.  No matter what your taste-buds are hankering for, you'll find something to satisfy that craving at the Master’s Table Soul Café.  The ambiance will be set in a warm comfortable environment with Gospel jazz music softly playing in the background.  The 2000-sq ft. facility will house a beautiful banquet space that can be rented for birthdays, weddings and other events with a seating capacity up to 120 people.  An award-winning chef is slated to lead the restaurant’s staff in delivering quality and affordable dine-in, carryout and catering services. G.C. Hicks Contractors is working to complete construction of the restaurant and carryout which will be located on the grounds of The Master’s Child Church Worship Center at 2001 Brooks Drive in District Heights, Maryland (www.masterschild.org). The Pastor of the church, Bishop Melvin Robinson, Jr., along with his wife, First Lady Robinson partnered with the owners of G.C. Hicks Contractors (Gary and Gale Hicks) to build The Master’s Table and bring a unique dining experience to residents of the DC Metropolitan area.

The owners are collaborating with a local radio station to bring gospel artists, Christian comedians and Gospel jazz performances to The Master’s Table to entertain and uplift patrons.  Customers will have the added opportunity of viewing a movie at the restaurant on “movie night.”
“We want The Master’s Table to be an all-inclusive gathering place where patrons can come together and feed both their appetites with delicious food and feed their spirits with inspirational entertainment and fellowship,” said Bishop Robinson.
“The Master’s Table is designed to give our customers an affordable haven to relax comfortably and enjoy family, friends and food.  Careful attention is being paid to the details to make sure the restaurant is an appeasing and pleasant environment.” said Mr. Hicks.  
Customers will be able to phone in, fax or email their orders for pick up or delivery. The restaurant’s website will provide a virtual look at the facility, highlight daily specials, and provide an easy way to order meals and request catering services.
