In partnership with Highway Inn, Jayson Caiguitan from Waipahu was also awarded a 3 month graphic arts internship from Humanhand, an independent Honolulu Design Company built around the idea that inspired design can make good ideas extraordinary.
Highway Inn Scholarships were awarded based upon a combination of financial need, academic achievement, scholarship essay, extra-curricular activities, community service and paid employment. For the past four years, Highway Inn has given five high schools: Waianae, Nanakuli, Waipahu, Mililani, & Kapolei a total of $20,000 in scholarship monies.
Now celebrating 62 years of serving quality Hawaiian and American foods through our Restaurant, Seafood Market, and Catering business, Highway Inn is proud to recognize this year’s winners who have captured the determination, perseverance, and the values of hardwork that represents the spirit of this scholarship. Highway Inn invites next year’s 2009-2010 graduating seniors to apply through their school’s college and career counselor.
